My Most Recommended Beauty Products

I love trying out new beauty products and I feel so fortunate that through my blog I get to test out upcoming releases and discover new brands. While I do flit about and switch things up a lot, there's a handful of products that I repeatedly purchase and without hesitation recommend over and over again to anyone who will listen, so I thought I'd share them just in case you've not yet tried them. And if not, you should!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
Possibly the most incorrect product naming I've come across as this is everything but sheer! NARS Sheer Glow is without doubt my holy grail foundation. I've bought many bottles over the years and of course wore it on my wedding day. I tend to recommend this so much because it suits most people (although avoid if you're very oily). The shade range is amazing for a start and it gives the most flattering dewy glow to the skin. It's a medium coverage base that's really buildable but never looks overdone or cakey. The wear time is unrivalled and it never fails to amp up the radiance and make you look incredibly fresh and well.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner*
Recognised as one of Stila's hero products, this is super black liquid eyeliner is suitable for the most novice eyeliner wearer. Seriously, if I can do flicks with this anyone can! The brush has a fine felt tip nib that glides over the eye and I find it never drags or draws a dog-legged line which some liners can. As the name suggests, it's part of Stila's stay all day product line so it doesn't fade or budge until you want it to. Now Stila is available in Marks & Spencer it's really easy to get hold of so I don't feel guilty recommending a product that requires a bit of a search for.

Stila One Step Correct Primer*
I am a bit of a primer addict and I'll make no apologies! I've just opened maybe my 6th or 7th bottle of this as I gave the remainder of my last one to a friend - that's how strongly I feel about this Stila primer! It looks pretty cute in the bottle but looks aside it's a little miracle worker. This is a colour correcting primer so it helps reduce redness and conceal blemishes, cancels out sallowness and brightens the complexion, all with one pump. It's quite moisturising too so it creates the perfect canvas for makeup, prolonging wear and keeping your skin comfortable. I quite like to use it on it's own or under concealer too. All of Stila's primers are great but this is my go-to and the one I will never hesitate to recommend.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask
No matter your skin type or concern, this beauty of a mask will fix it. Manuka honey is well documented as nature's anti-bacterial hero, so this is the perfect mask for angry and even blemish prone skin. It's a gentle cleansing mask that leaves the skin clean and soft, but never leaves you breaking out the next day after the impurities have been drawn out. Its also really nourishing and without a doubt the one that I reach for most often, and definitely when my skin is in a bit of a funk as it really calms down inflammation and promotes healing.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I remember when Lash Sensational came out as it was around the time of the Benefit Roller Lash launch, aka the most blogged about mascara ever! I think it was Elle magazine that gave away a free sample with the magazine when it very first came out and everyone lost their shit over it and it was on every beauty blog for about two months. Anyway, I digress ... Straight away this Maybelline launch was dubbed a more affordable dupe. Now, I don't necessarily agree with that, but mainly because I didn't get on with Roller Lash and absolutely adore this budget friendly offering. It grasps every lash, both lengthening and thickening every single hair. One coat will give you natural and separated lashes, whereas two to three coats leave you with a more dramatic false lash effect. And no smudging, ever.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel
Oskia know how to do cleansers, that's for sure! I also love it's sister cleanser but the Renaissance Cleansing Gel is somewhat of a cult product these days. I always recommend this to friends when asked for a good all-rounder cleasnser, as it's exactly that. I love the peachy-pink gel which smoothes onto the skin before emulsifying on contact with water. It leaves the skin feeling clean, calm and radiant and is perfect for waking up my dull complexion in the morning as well as washing the day and makeup off come evening. It's so much more than just a cleanser as it's packed full of vitamins and enzymes that over time improve the texture and firmness of the skin. I've just run out of this and am using the Glossier Jelly Cleanser at the moment, and then I'll most likely be buying another tube as I can't be without the Renaissance Cleansing Gel for too long.

MAC Painterly Pro Longwear Paint Pot
Perfect for hiding any eyelid discolouration and keeping eyeshadow vibrant and in place all day, Painterly is my bae. This cream eyeshadow is the perfect match for my skin tone and doesn't crease throughout the day. There's lots of shades in the range but either Painterly or Soft Ochre seem to work as amazing eyeshadow primers. I've lost count of how many pots I've had now but they actually last for ages, which considering I wear it every time I wear makeup without fail, is pretty impressive! It's much better than any actual eyeshadow primer I've tried in the past - Urban Decay and NARS included.

Bobbi Brown Corrector
The secret to hiding a late night resides in this little pot! This peach toned corrector is a daily must for disguising my under eye luggage and means that I look much more presentable than I actually feel. It's super creamy so doesn't dry out the delicate under eye area but it stays put all day. I tend to dab it on with a finger and follow up with a little concealer to make things look a bit more 'skin-like'. Whatever your under eye skin concern there's a Bobbi Brown corrector shade that can hide it as it has such an expansive shade range.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Range
I think I first heard of La Roche-Posay's Toleriane range through Amelia (thanks girl!) many years ago when she was dealing with healing her acne. The range is aimed at sensitive and reactive skin, and there's quite a bit to choose from. You'll notice that I talk about the Toleriane range a lot on my blog, and La Roche-Posay in general, as I really rate their products for fixing aggravated skin. The moisturisers in particular are awesome and they come in ultra fluid lotions right up to heavy thick creams so regardless of how oily or dry your skin is you can use the range.

So there's the beauty products I recommend the most. I'd love to know if you've tried any of them before and if you have any products that you always go. Let me know!
