How To Buy Glossier In The UK & Haul

how to buy glossier in the uk

I've wanted to get my hands on Glossier for the longest time, but they don't ship to the UK. A lot of the other American brands like Color Pop and Tarte have made themselves available to us but Glossier are still somewhat coy about it if asked. I had to find a way without physically jumping on a plane myself (maximum devotion points lost there I know), so when myMallBox contacted me to see if I wanted to trial their US shipping service it was fate and I started making my Glossier shopping list straight away.

I've never tried a US mail forwarding service before and had thought it sounded a bit complicated and probably quite pricey, but it really isn't at all.

When you sign up to myMallBox you're given your own suite number which is essentially a PO Box address. Then you're free to shop away and just use your new US address as the shipping address with your usual UK address as your billing address. The Glossier website was pretty easy to use and I just popped all my details in as normal, and just substituted my post code for zip code and it went straight through. The form asks for a phone number but my mobile didn't fit in properly but that didn't pose a problem. I choose free delivery and ordered on a Thursday night and I think it arrived to my suite the following Thursday as it was right in the middle of the awful storms so FedEX had put some deliveries on hold.

When your package arrives at your suite, myMallBox pop you an email to say it's there and you can then ship it to the UK. They itemise your package too so you can check everything is in order before starting the shipping process.

myMallBox also have a cool buy for me service that I quite like the sound off. Not all websites ship to PO Box addresses (Sephora and Tarte don't for instance). But you can let myMallBox know what item you're after and they'll go buy it for you for a small fee - how neat is that? They'll also consolidate your packages so if you buy from multiple websites they'll put it all into one box before shipping to save costs.

Through the myMallBox site shipping is calculated depending on the size and weight of your package, and you'll be given a few different options such as USPS and DHL Express to choose from, along with the prices. I ordered quite a bit so I was expecting it to cost a lot, especially as I'm impatient and went for DHL Express. It ended up costing me $40 which I didn't think was too much for a premium delivery service and it took three days to arrive which is amazing. My Glossier delivery literally took just under two weeks arrive in the UK from when I ordered it which I was pretty happy with. If you want to have a look at prices before you place your order, myMallBox have a handy calculator that works it all out and gives you the different options. I did order a lot so my order weighed 1.27kg just to give you an idea. I did unfortunately get hit with a £16 customs bill which they text me about a couple of days after I had received my Glossier parcel. I thought I'd gotten away with it! I don't think that's too hefty though, considering I spent $160 on the order in the first place!

Right, down to the exciting stuff - what did I actually get? I won't go into too much detail on each individual product as I bought a lot and I'll be talking about everything in more depth over the coming weeks no doubt. Also, it's worth mentioning that you can support some fellow bloggers such as Beauty by Kelsey and Cindy H Yue, who are both lovely ladies and have amazing blogs I might add. They're both Glossier reps so if you order through their referral pages they get some commission and you get 20% off your first order! My order should have been $200 but it cost me $160 in the end.

Glossier Phase 1 Set  - milky jelly cleanser, priming moisturizer, balm dotcom, skin tint
Being skin care obsessed I had to go for this set. The milky jelly cleanser is a dream to use in the morning and I'm somewhat head over heals for the priming moisturzer already! Its the perfect amount of nourishment for my skin and is an amazing base for makeup. Balm dotcom is a matte lip and multi-purpose balm which I've been reaching for so much. It's great for applying before matte liquid lipsticks and it lasts for hours. I've only used the skin tint once so far but its a nice sheer coverage tint that adds glow to the skin.

Glossier Boy Brow
Another cult favourite, this tinted brow gel creates the perfect light and fluffy natural brows. The spoolie is tiny so it's so easy to apply.

Glossier Stretch Concealer
Non-caking and very skin-like, the stretch concealer is quite light and buildable and I really like it so far. It's really comfy on the skin and doesn't look dry at all. It has a surprisingly dewy finish too - love.

Glossier Cloud Paints
These new gel-cream blushes intrigued me the most. They came out quite recently and they really don't disappoint. I picked up two colours which look amazing when mixed together. Puff is s light pink that on me looks like a natural flush of colour, and Dusk is a browny-pink which is great as a contour or darker blush. I'm definitely picking up more of these!

Glossier Haloscope
I had to pick up a highlighter, it's me for heavens sake! Haloscopes are creamy stick highlighters which give a super dewy almost wet-like sheen to the skin. They're not crazily shimmery but so flattering. I picked up Moonstone as I couldn't choose. Quartz is gorgeous too.

Glossier Super Glow Serum
I wanted to try a serum mainly because the bottles looked so cool! I tend to usually go for hydrating serums so I went for the vitamin c serum for something different and it comes in a beautiful orange bottle. It makes my skin look so healthy and radiant so it was a good choice.

I couldn't recommend myMallBox enough and am already contemplating making another order already. Are you tempted to sign up and buy all of the Glossier goodies too?

If you're thinking of giving MyMallBox a try and would like a little money off, please use my referral code to get $5 credited to your account to use on your first order.
