The Topshop Faux Shearling Aviator Jacket

Disclaimer - I am no fashion blogger! But a couple of weeks ago I met up with the lovely Kat and Kirsty for a lovely blogger afternoon out and Sunday roast (i.e. my favourite kind of day) and Kirsty very kindly took some outfit photos for us. I've now got the urge to do more fashion content on here, so watch this space. I just need to figure out what to do with my legs as they always look awkward!

Aviator jackets have been everywhere this autumn/winter, in fact they've been having a moment for the last year or so. Last spring I bought a cheapish version from Boohoo as I wasn't sure if this was a trend that either suited me or would be here to stay, but I ended up wearing it to death (rip), so when the weather got rather nippy I invested in this new black Topshop shearling aviator jacket. Zara and Reiss both have similar pieces out at the moment which I did consider, but the Reiss one was mega expensive and I didn't like the coating that the Zara version had.

The Topshop shearling aviator jacket is almost a brushed, velvety material on the outside and the inside is a super soft faux shearing, so it's pretty thick and cosy. I sized up as I quite often do with coats so I can fit a jumper underneath, but also because the arm length was a little shorter than I'd like. I love a mainly black outfit like this little Sunday ensemble, with this pink Whistles jumper for a pop of colour to bring it to life. It's highly likely that this jacket's going to get worn into the ground too but it's so cosy I never want to take it off!
