Madame LA LA Self Tan Mousse in Light - A Faux Tan For The Pale Girls

Madame La La Tan in Light Review

I can probably count the number of times I have used a faux tan on one hand, because I'm not too good at it but mainly because they always look so unnatural on me and like I need a darn good bath! I think this is so to change though as I was recently sent the Madame LA LA Self Tan Mousse in Light* and I've most definitely been getting my tan on since! The brand have recently collaborated with Alexander Wang as part of his resort collection which is pretty exciting.

Madame LA LA Self Tan Mousse comes in two shades, one for most skin tones and a version for us pale girls. Not everyone wants a super deep tan, on some it might look odd and others (like me) just want a slight, yet healthy glow, so to have a choice of shades is awesome. Inspired by Malibu Beach and those gorgeously healthy and tanned LA girls, Madame LA LA's tanning products are infused with coconut water and also has aloe, green tea and vitamin E included to hydrate and care for your skin at the same time. Unlike the majority of faux tans out there it doesn't smell of biscuits or potatoes, but instead of dreamy coconut. It's certainly something different!

Application-wise it's all pretty simple. The guide colour is quite good, so it makes life easier for newbies like me. It says that it develops in 3 hours, but to wash off in 10, so I tend to apply it before bed and rinse in the morning. As it is a light tan it doesn't last too long on me, more like 3-4 days than the 10 days Madame LA LA quote. I only put a light layer on but I'm sure that if you apply more you'll get a week or so out of it. Also for that reason it fades really nicely.

Are you a faux tan fan and will you be checking this out?
