Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips Lipstick Collection

Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips Lipstick Review

A new release by Charlotte Tilbury, the Queen of Makeup herself, is always going to catch my attention, and her new Hot Lips Lipstick collection has not disappointed. On sale from last month, the 16 shade line which includes 12 new shades, are inspired by 12 iconic celebrities from Salma Hayek to Miranda Kerr. And let me tell you, they're gorgeous.

Depending on your preference, there's both mattes and Charlotte's Fallen From The Lipstick Tree formula and shade-wise, there's a wide selection of nudes to deep burgundy hues. Tilbs is also donating £1 from every lipstick sold to Women For Women International during the first two months they're on sale. Personally, I think the donation could be higher and over an indefinite period, but it's still great to see them donating to charity when many (and bigger brands) do not.

Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips Lipstick Review

Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips Lipstick SwatchesSpoilt for choice, I chose four of the pink shades as I really couldn't narrow it down. My favourite has to be Liv It Up, inspired by Liv Tyler. It's the perfect blue-toned light  nude pink that goes with everything. It's my perfect everyday colour. In the same formula I also opted for Kim KW (no guessing who that was inspired by!). Not too brown, not too pink, it's the ultimate nude and looks awesome next to my pale complexion. I'm not really one for a smokey eye but this would be a great accompaniment. It's also dreamy when paired with a feline flick!

For the mattes (and a matte formula that I adore), I went for Kidman's Kiss, a peachy pink that goes so well with barely there dewy makeup, and as a bottle red-head myself I can see why this was created for Nicole, it looks amazing on pale skins. Lastly, I opted for the more vibrant Bosworth's Beauty. It's a bright blue-based pink that pairs well with toned down natural makeup and perfect skin. Definitely one for a night out (for me anyway). Charlotte Tilbury's matte formula is my absolute favourite. It's actually quite moisturising and lasts well, even on my parched pout.

Will you be checking out the Hot Lips collection and do you have any favourites?
