Feel Good Gift Ideas

Whether its a gift for someone else or the a 'to me from me' kind of present (the best, obviously!) I always like to buy something that's going to put a smile on your face. With Christmas coming up in something crazy like nine weeks now is the time to get your thinking caps on! It's so hard to buy for other people unless they've been hinting at something specific for ages so a nice little thoughtful always does the trick. I've been feeling less than great recently, mainly due to house buying stress (a story for another day), so I picked up a few feel good gifts to help lighten my mood. It was a bad few days ok!

Lush do the cutest little gift sets which often have a bubble bar, bath bomb and a shower gel in but I really like to make my own little gift sets. Whatever you pick is guaranteed to go down well and let's face it, who doesn't want a sparkly bath?? I picked up The Experimenter which is a new addition to Lush's bath bomb range. When added to your bath it explodes into rainbow colours and smells really dreamy and relaxing. It's got popping candy in it so the show is all over a bit quick but it's worth it!

I also picked up the Karma bubble bar as Lush's bubble bars are the best. I'm saving this for a Sunday pamper session but I'm really excited about this one. This gold-tipped little pyramid smells really relaxing but it also has some quite uplifting scents in it such as orange and patchouli so I'm intrigued to crumble this one into my bath.

I always buy candles as gifts. They're so versatile and I'm yet to meet someone who doesn't like a candle! Especially if you know some fairly fussy people. Candles are so uplifting, no matter how bad a mood you're in a candle is a sure fire way to put a smile on your face. I was recently sent this Baylis & Harding The Fuzzy Duck candle* from I Want One Of Those and I absolutely love it. The description of a cozy night by the log fire could not be more fitting. It's a gentle fragrance but it's so gorgeous and manages to fill the room. It's not on their website at the moment but there's lots of others to choose from and at £8 it really won't break the bank.

I totally picked this little cute jar of bath salts up on a whim as it's so dinky and, well, cute! It's from East Of India at Queen Bee Home in Canterbury and the lavender bath salts inside are really relaxing. I'm so into bath salts at the moment but I think they make perfect gifts too, especially when they have lovely little messages on like this one. Queen Bee is one of my favourite homeware shops. They sell really lovely antique furniture and lovely cushions, blankets and home trinkets.

What's your ideal feel good gift and what do you think of my picks?
