Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream

Although I have my favourites, I am a bit fickle when it comes to moisturiser, and especially night creams. With summer now upon us at last (long may it continue!) I wanted to try something a bit more lightweight that still gave me a far bit of hydration.

I've been wanting to try more from Jurlique so I've been giving their Herbal Recovery Night Cream (£35) a whirl. Its infused with botanical extracts (that smells amazing I might add!), which work to hydrate your skin overnight while also aiming to combat fine lines and promote firmness and elasticity to the skin.

The consistency is really light and almost in between a gel and a cream which I quite like. It almost has a velvet-like feel when smoothed on and my skin felt really nice and plumped in the morning. What I would say is that it's quite a light moisturiser, and whilst this is great for summer I wouldn't be able to use it come winter. I did try and put a little more on to see how it sunk into the skin but it made my skin feel like it had a film on it. My skin has been a bit all over the place lately so I've been relying on treatments to get things back on track, and this moisturiser has been really working well with that so far. This is definitely a moisturiser I can see becoming part of my summer routine.

What moisturiser do you rely on in summer and have you tried this one?

  1. I've never tried this one, but I don't like that you mentioned it gets filmy if applied thick. Best to be light with it I suppose. I like Eucerin face moisturizer with SPF 30+ :] // itsCarmen.com ☼

    1. Its always good to know when you are wasting product as sometimes you can put too much on and it does nothing for you. With this, there is clearly a correct amount to apply and it does give a good dose of hydration.

  2. I've not tried this moisturiser but I have been looking for a lighter night cream that still hydrates well. I think I'll add this to my "the beauty blogger made me do it" list. ;-)
