June Favourites

Another month down and lots of goodies to share with you. Looks like this month is having a bit of a pink theme!
I've neglected my nails for a while if I'm honest. Usually I tidy them up and give them a good coat of colour on a Sunday night but lately I've just not had the time. I'm going to really try and take good care of them now as I want them to be nice for my wedding in October. I find that when they have polish on they are so much stronger and grow so quickly. I've fallen back in love with Essie A Splash of Grenadine and its clear why. I have received so many compliments on this shade recently and I find it works really well with my skin tone. I also love the formula and brush of Essie polishes.
It's been a bit of a while since I bought anything from MAC but I wanted to try the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer as I've heard such good things about it. Its really lightweight but is medium to full coverage which my skin has really needed recently. I've been breaking out quite badly the last couple of weeks so this couldn't have come at a better time! It builds up nicely and doesn't accentuate any dryness. I also love the hygienic pump which I wish all concealers had.
The Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eye Palette has not left my makeup bag since I got it. Such a great choice of neutral shades that are really pigmented and blend so beautifully together. It has a nice balance of shimmery and matte shades which I always look for in a palette.
Who doesn't love a stylish powder compact? The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder is probably the most beautiful compact I've ever seen. It's taken me ages to actually buy it but I'm so glad I did. It perfectly sets my foundation and concealer and adds just a touch of coverage which is perfect for using on the go. It doesn't go cakey or anything which I know a lot of powders do.
I've used Redken products for quite a while now, but I'm really enjoying using the Redken Colour Extend Magnetics Shampoo. Its a sulphate-free formula designed to help preserve coloured hair and I find it leaves my hair feeling super soft and moisturised without making it flat and greasy. I really struggle to find shampoos that don't weigh down my fine hair but this one is by far the best.
I haven't stopped gushing about the Rodial Glamstick in Bang* but there is a good reason why! It contains hyaluronic acid that really hydrates my dry lips and its a beautiful pretty pink. There's not many lip butters that have skincare benefits like this one and boy am I smitten! At £25 its not cheap but I couldn't be without this now.
Still on a lip theme I couldn't not mention the Bourjois Rouge Edition Matte Velvet in Pink Pong. I'm usually a bit wary of matte lipsticks as my lips are quite dry but this doesn't dry them out at all. It's such a vivid pink colour which I find really flattering. In terms of colour its quite similar to MAC Girl About Town - another pink I really love. Once applied this isn't going anywhere. In fact, you had better have a good remover when you want to take it off! The only criticism I have of the range is that the 6 colours aren't very work friendly, so maybe they'll release some more subtle colours.
Have you tried any of these and what's your favourite product at the moment?

  1. Thank you for being transparent with your PR sample. Hehe. I love the packaging of the Chanel powder though.:] // ☼

    1. Honesty is key to me and sample aside, my views are my own :) The Chanel compact is a beaut indeed!
