Perfume: Ghost Dream

ghost dream perfume review

Ghost Dream* was launched earlier this year with the aim of inspiring young women to embrace their femininity and independence. What that means in terms of scent is the most delicious oriental floral fragrance that even those who would normally shy away from florals will most certainly enjoy. As a newcomer to Ghost I didn't know what to expect, but from the mermaid-esque pink and blue bottle to the perfume inside, this is something quite special.

No matter your skin type, everyone needs to include hydrating treatments into their routine. And by routine I don't mean just skincare, as our bodies and hair also need a good seeing to from time to time! Here's a few of my essential head to toe hydrating treatments.

3 To Try: Powders For Dry Skin

Face powders for dry skin

I've was always one to embrace the dewy glow and skip face powder, mainly because my skin is dry and the majority of powders leave a cakey tight cast, but you know, these last couple of years or so I've really started to appreciate a good powder to set my makeup. This is mainly due to layering on more powder products such as blusher, contour and highlight. So I've found that a good powder is pretty essential to keep everything in place and to stop patchiness appearing. Luckily I've found a few good face powders that work so well on my dry skin and don't accentuate any fine lines.

August Makeup Musings

August Makeup Musings

This month I've really changed up my makeup bag, switching in a few forgotten gems and [spoiler alert] I bought that Urban Decay palette, so I thought I'd share my ramblings on the makeup I've been using, bought and am thinking about at the moment.

Three To Try: Cleansing Oils

cleansing-oils-to-try

There's one moment I look forward to every day: when I can remove my makeup. As much as I love wearing it, taking it off and cleansing my complexion is such a joy. I want to effectively yet gently remove every trace of makeup and SPF, leaving my skin prepped and ready for treatments, and I find cleansing oils are the perfect solution. I'm a little bit spoilt as I have a few different options in my bathroom at the moment.

High End Beauty Products That Make Me Feel Fancy

high-end-beauty-products

There are so many affordable beauty products available now that really give their higher end alternatives a run for their money, but I can’t help but gravitate toward the luxe side of things. I really wish I didn’t as it’s a bit of an expensive pursuit, but the lure of gorgeous packaging and the satisfaction I get from a luxurious pick is a little addictive! Here’s a few of my recent high end favourites that make me feel all fancy when I use them.

The Influenster UK Max Factor VoxBox

The Influenster UK Max Factor VoxBox

Influenster is a US based online community where beauty obsessives can post product reviews, discover new exciting products, and if very lucky, try out new products sent to them by Influenster, in the form of a 'VoxBox'. I kept seeing it mentioned on Instagram and signed up, not realising at first that it was just in the US. As luck would have it, Influenster came to the UK so we can get involved too. I've not really been too active on it, so I was really surprised to be chosen to take part in their Max Factor VoxBox campaign.

What I Learned From Taking A Break From Blogging And Why You Should Have One Too

What I Learned From Taking A Break From Blogging

What I Learned From Taking A Break From Blogging

I never intended to take a break from blogging. Somehow, between a stressful two weeks of having a new kitchen fitted and then having a nasty cold, this little space got a bit neglected. I’ll admit I’m not the best at sticking to a regular blogging schedule anyway, but I kind of detached myself a little bit and it was kinda liberating! Here’s what I learned and why everyone should have a break from their blog every now and then.
