Beauty's Little Luxuries

As well as making me look a bit more presentable and not scaring the outside world, my beauty regime means quite a bit to me, for many different reasons, and I'm sure that differs between person to person. So, today I thought I'd share with you a few of beauty's little luxuries that I can't get enough of.

Luxury Picks
As a beauty lover, it's sometimes all too easy to get swept up into more luxurious beauty products, but I think that if you can afford it, that's absolutely fine once in a while. I am a bit of a sucker for high end beauty products, whether it's the exquisite packaging or how gorgeous the formulas are, they make me smile and that's what makes it special to me.

If I want to really feel my best, there's a few staple luxury beauty items that I always reach for. I don't think you can get more luxurious than what is most probably the most expensive lip balm ever, but the highly Instagramable By Terry Baume De Rose is a fail safe. I absolutely love rose, and the highly moisturising properties of this bank breaking lip balm keep my pout happy. Cost per wear it's not actually that bad as it really does keep my lips nourished for hours.

Also, let's be honest, who doesn't want to to whip out a gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette or rose gold lipstick to touch up on the go?  I absolutely love both The Dolce Vita and The Golden Goddess. For lips, my top picks from Tilbs are Amazing Grace or Love Liberty. From the stunning rose gold packaging to the super flattering shades, my collection is becoming more and more skewed to this makeup guru's brand.

The Crisp Red Lip
Nothing makes me feel more luxurious than a super flattering red lip. Carefully applied (definitely not on the train!), there's something about a strong red lip that really lifts my complexion. My go-to red at the moment is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery*. Its so long lasting and I'm not going to get tired of the compliments I get on this any time soon. Definitely one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas - it's just so comfortable.

Limited Editions
The panic buying of a limited edition collection gets my heart racing like no other! If it isn't a seasonal Chanel drop (Le Rouge Collection No.1 dented my purse somewhat) or the Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder collection that I'm desperate to swatch at a counter (hello Modern Mercury!), chances are I have to at least rule it out in order to be satisfied. And of course there's then the dilemma of whether you'll allow yourself to actually use it (or just buy a double!). It's a quandary facing many a beauty lover, but personally I like to enjoy my purchases. I may have a lot of makeup, but there's no greater waste of money than products you don't use.

Undetectable Radiance
I am obsessed with highlighter, and dewy radiant skin. And sometimes by picking the right products I can achieve that lit from within look that actually fools everyone I'm not wearing makeup. A little layer of Charlotte Tilbury's Wonder Glow and a swipe from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Palette in Gleam and I'm good to go, or glow! Used together, both of these beauts transform my skin and make me feel rather fancy!

Me Time
There's nothing I like better than taking time out to spend on my skincare routine, or the rare occasion I have lots of time to apply my makeup rather than the usual rush. For me, it's luxurious me time where I can get lost in my thoughts and preen away to my heart's content. Nothing settles the mind more than a pampering bath and a face mask! I shared my Sunday evening beauty ritual recent which you can read here. And you know, sometimes those eyeliner flicks do match up...well, sometimes.

What little beauty luxuries do you love?
