How To Gorgeous Glowing Skin With Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix

Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix Review

It's June, which in theory should mean summer, but it's England so I'm not getting too excited just yet! The temperature is starting to turn up a notch though which means it's almost time for my pasty pale legs to get some air. I'm really not a fan of fake tan (far too clumsy and lazy for that!), so I tend to either embrace my translucency or pull out some glow enhancing skincare.

Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix Review

Joining this year's rank of summery products is the Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix*. I know I talk about Nip+Fab a lot, but honestly, their products are amazing for the price. The Shimmer Leg Fix is a hydrating body moisturiser with a subtle shimmer added in to make those pasty pins look healthy and feel hydrated at the same time.

It goes without saying that Shimmer Fix is not just for legs as I've been going to town all over my limbs with this one! Like most Nip+Fab body products it is a light formula, which sinks in straight away and doesn't feel tacky, which is pretty important when it's a bit hot. No one wants to feel wet and sticky in the heat! It also has a dreamy aroma to it, thanks to rose and ginger, so it's really quite luxurious to massage into the skin.

Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix Review

The shimmer is fine and apparent, but without being too much or thick and glittery. It has a light golden tint to it, which oozes health, but not in a gradual tan kinda way. I find my skin stays hydrated and smooth all throughout the day after using Shimmer Leg Fix, and my skin just looks good, if you know what I mean. I'm all for keeping my face glowing and radiant but I've never considered how much healthier it would make my body look. It also makes the colour of my tattoos pop, which always makes me happy and leaves me longing for more!

I haven't really heard anyone talk about the Nip+Fab Shimmer Leg Fix before, which is such a shame. At £9.99 this is a staple in my summer skincare kit as a lot of similar products are at least twice the price. Who doesn't like a bargain eh??

Will you be trying this over the summer months?

New Beauty #2

New beauty products

I've been acquiring new beauty bits lately and therefore testing them out, so what better than a little round up on my thoughts so far? It's been a while since I tried out some totally new products, and as my skin is so dry and needy right now it's a good time to really put things to the test. I love trying out new things and also reading posts like these so I'm hoping you guys do too!

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara

I'm going to get the negative one out of the way first as it's not always sunshine and rainbows! I absolutely adore Charlotte Tilbury's makeup line. I've tried quite a lot of it so far and it's all really impressed me so I had high hopes for the new Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara. It has all the things I like in a mascara; a chunky brush, super black formula and it gives the most amazing separated and voluminous lashes. BUT, it's super messy and smudges everywhere. Insanely so.

The problem is that the formula never seems to actually dry so it transfers badly. Very disappointing for a £25 mascara. When I got home from work yesterday I looked like I'd either been swimming or crying. Almost boarding on that Snapchat filter which isn't great. Such as shame as it gives the most amazing lashes.

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Facial Water

Coming out in July are a range of three facial waters from Ole Henriksen, each designed to suit different skin types and complaints. The lovelies from Escentual kindly sent me the Ole Henriksen Nuture Me Facial Water to try out ahead of it launching and it's certainly come in handy. Toners and facial mists might seem like an unnecessary extra, but to me they add a very important layer of moisture to my complexion and I wouldn't skip this step for the world. The Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Facial Water is aimed at dry sensitive skin, which is me in a nutshell. It combines cucumber and chamomile to cool and soothe and Pro Vitamin B5 to hydrate.

As my skin is so irritated at the moment, this is perfect to spritz after cleansing and it reinvigorates my skin instantly, leaving it hydrated and comfortable. It has a fine, yet even spray, which makes it perfect for using on top of makeup to deliver a dose of botanicals and anti-oxidants to refresh your complexion and disguise any dullness.

It has a teeny tingle at first which soon fades, and the refreshing cucumber scent really peps me up in the morning. It's kinda addictive, but in a really, really good way. Also, this week I discovered Ole was pronounced Ooh-Laa. Mind blown.

RMK Creamy Foundation

I keep seeing rave reviews for the RMK Creamy Foundation, so when I was in Selfridges the other week I inevitably ended up swatching it and buying my own. It's a deliciously creamy formula which provides great coverage and also helps hydrate the skin at the same time. I found it to have great lasting power and it doesn't settle in my lines, all down to stretch technology which means it moves with your facial movements. Very clever. I bought the shade 201 which is spot on for me. I'm not wearing foundation too much at the moment, but once my skin is less dry I can see me getting a lot of wear out of this one.

Nugg Face Masks

My love for face masks is well documented and I picked up these Nugg face masks on a bit of a whim. Anything cute looking and I have to have it! They're really handy and great for travelling too and this little starter kit was a bargain at £16. I may have picked up some of the other masks from the range too.. So far I've only tried the Nugg Soothing face mask and it was really calming on the skin. It's a gloopy gel texture which glides across the skin, leaving my skin feeling really comfortable.

A lot of my fail safe masks irritate my skin thanks to Roaccutane doing it's worst, but this one didn't at all. You also get loads of product in each pod, they're actually quite deceiving. Probably a bit too much for a one use product but it forces me to really take the product down to my my neck and decollete.

Have you tried any of these too?
