Nip+Fab Kale Fix

Nip+Fab Kale Fix

Superfoods are well known for their antioxidant qualities so I try my best to include as many into my meals as I can. One leafy favourite of mine is kale. Not only is it versatile and super quick to cook, but it tastes amazing and gives a good dose of vitamin A (derived from beta-carotene), C and K, along with essential minerals. It's also thought to help reduce chlolesterol and protect against cancer - pretty impressive. But it's greatness doesn't stop there. Thanks to quirky brand Nip+Fab you can now include kale in your skincare routine.

The three-piece range from Rodial's little sister brand Nip+Fab has now launched and as we transition into the colder months thus exposing our skin to the elements, it couldn't come at a better time. The Nip+Fab Kale Fix range is designed for those with dry and dehydrated skin in mind, which as someone who suffers with both is music to my ears. It also aims to strengthen and repair the skin, while protecting it from free radicals and other environmental aggressors.

I was intrigued to see what the Kale Fix Make-Up Removing Pads* were like as often wipes don't remove all my makeup and leave my eyes streaming afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case as the pads really effectively removed my makeup and caused no discomfort. They're quite saturated and have quite a raised texture on one side, so they really cling to the skin and remove every trace. My skin feels very comfortable after using the Kale Fix pads as they're really nourishing due to a mix of kale and watercress. I also found them cooling and smoothing on my skin (perfect after a long day in front of a computer!).

The Kale Fix Moisturiser* is ideal for anyone with sensitive and parched skin. It's quite thick in texture but it sinks in well and leaves my skin super soft. Along with kale and watercress, it also benefits from almond oil to provide extra hydration, along with aloe vera and shea butter which in turn soothe the skin and leave it really soft. I've found this so comforting to use during a hormonal flare up as my skin has been quite sore. Within a week of using the Kale Fix Moisturiser my skin was much calmer. As someone with ageing skin this provides the perfect level of moisturiser to plump up my fine lines and keep things soft and happy. It's a definite favourite and perfect for morning and evening. Those with oily skin may want to reserve this one for the evening alone.

The treatment element of the range (and my must-have) is the Kale Fix Clay Mask*. Now I'm not the greatest clay mask fan as I hate the feeling that a lot of them bring as they dry on the skin. This is nothing like that; it's actually more of a clay/cream hybrid in terms of texture and comfortability. I've been multi-masking a bit more recently (more on that soon) and I love to add this after an exfoliating mask to really get the best of both worlds. It includes witch hazel to help draw out impurities, without leaving you blemish-ridden. Let's not forget the key ingredient, kale, which helps repair the tissue while watercress injects moisture to plump and soften the skin. Like the other products in the range it smells amazing and fresh.

What do you think about adding kale to your skincare routine?
