I've been eyeing up the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (£49) since the day it launched but only took the plunge and actually bought it a few weeks ago. I have quite a few bronzers, contours, highlights etc (ok maybe I have a problem!) but this little beaut was too enticing. It's absolutely gorgeous in it's embossed rose gold tin and although its not the tiniest compact its quite slim so is nice and easy to cart about with you.

I always swatch it when I walk past a Charlotte Tilbury counter as I've been trying to make my mind up about the bronzer as it is quite warm toned which isn't always that complimentary on my pale skin. I shouldn't have worried though, as it the bronzing or sculpt shade blends really nicely and is definitely not too warm for me. It's great for building up colour too, whether you dust it all over or get to town on those cheekbones. I've been doing both and I find it's really gorgeous with or without blush. It gives me just the right amount of colour, whilst looking quite natural at the same time.

I've read quite a few reviews on the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette over the months, and a few people have said that they find the highlight shade too much for everyday. I really don't agree with this. Yes it is noticeable, but that's the whole idea right? Obviously I don't go crazy with it, but I find the shimmery champagne colour really nice for day or night, it works so well with the sculpt shade and it's super flattering on the top of my cheeks and under my brows. It has this magical ability to put some life into my face and is so dreamy on top of a dewy base.

I have the Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt Brush (£35) as well and the tapered brush makes it so easy to apply contour in the right place. It's a super soft brush and picks up just the right amount of product so I know that I'm not going to end up looking like I have a dirty face! Believe me, it took me a long time before I realised how I was applying contour completely wrong (and way too heavily in the wrong place!).

I can safely say that Filmstar Bronze & Glow is totally worth the hype. My only regret? That I didn't buy it waayy sooner!

What do you think of this gorgeous palette?
