Witch Overnight Clearing Serum Review

Witch overnight clearing serum review

Lately I've been using lots of Witch products in my routine as my skin really gets on with the range. I love the Witch Blemish Stick* as you can apply it throughout the day and it dramatically reduces inflammation. So you can imagine my excitement when Witch Skincare's new night time treatment, the Witch Overnight Clearing Serum* (£5.99) came through my letterbox.

I'm all for a great night's sleep and even better when my skin is able to sort itself out at the same time too. This  serum is perfect for sensitive blemish-prone skin and is best applied at night under your moisturiser. I like to keep things pretty simple at night so I apply this underneath a treatment oil and leave it at that. Witch Overnight Clearing Serum is a light, gel-like oil free formula which works while you sleep to minimise existing blemishes and prevent future breakouts. Like all products in the range it contains witch hazel extract which is renowned for its spot fighting qualities.

If like me, you struggle with blemishes this is definitely one to try out. My skin has been pretty well behaved of late but I have had the odd big nasty face visitor to deal with. I found that the Witch Overnight Clearing Serum felt quite soothing on application; it smells nice, feels silky and leaves your skin feeling soft and comfortable. It feels quite nourishing on the skin and I'd imagine that you could get away without adding a moisturiser if you're more of a oily/combo skin type. Come morning my skin was less agitated and my spots have healed quite a bit quicker. It's supposed to reduce redness as well but I don't really suffer from this so I can't vouch for that. What I will say is that my skin has been a brighter and not as dull as it tends to be in winter.

I find a lot of spot treatments to be drying but was pleasantly surprised that the Witch Overnight Clearing Serum does not fit into this category. Its really effective and gentle on the skin and yet another Witch Skincare product that I'm really impressed with. It's also quite generous in size (50ml) and I can see it lasting me ages, even though I'm using it every night at the moment.
