The weekly #03

I know I was a bit quiet last week, but I really didn't change up my rotation so would have been a bit pointless no?

There's no surprise the NARSissist Eye Palette features this week. Anyone who actually knows me must be quite bored about hearing about this little beauty by now. It's finally in my possession and boy is it good! If you haven't heard about it yet you've been clearly living under a rock for the last couple of months. I'm not going to go into much detail on this as I will be talking about it very soon, but suffice to say its amazingly versatile and I've got a lot of use out of it already. I'm smitten.

Another recently discovery (read: obsession) is Diptyque Eau Duelle. I'm rubbish at describing fragrance but you could say its a grown up spicy vanilla. Its not overly sweet or in anyway synthetic which is sometimes part and parcel with vanilla. Once it settles on your skin the scent develops and darn its addictive!

I ventured deep down to the depths of my foundation stash on a mission to finally start using up some of my bases. I get sucked into the hype on bases in particular and normally use something for a couple of weeks before moving onto the next thing in the hope that something will knock Nars Sheer Glow off its pedestal. It hasn't happened yet. To be fair, the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder did get a fair bit of love, only knocked back into the archives as I needed more coverage when I had a particularly bad breakout. What I love about this is it's second skin-like appearance, and its just so comfortable to wear.

Another winner from Nars (that's three mentions in this post alone), is the iconic Orgasm blush. When I first tested this is Space NK I thought it'd be too shimmery but on the skin it isn't too much but provides a wonderful glow, negating the need for highlighter. Its truly lovely and if you haven't tried it you had better do so pronto!

In other news I now have a decent camera in the form of the Canon 600D. I'm still getting the hang of it but hopefully it means my photo quality will start improving! I've been quite a busy bee getting my blog planned ahead for a few weeks as it is hard to fit in with a full time job and a long commute. I'm hoping that this will mean I can blog a lot more frequently going forwards if I can stick to a plan.

I hope you've had a good week and if there's anything that you'd like me to feature on here do give me a prod!
